Make complexity earn its place.
Difficult problems are real; confusing products do not have to be. We reduce, order, and explain until what matters becomes unmistakable.
Think beyond the launch.
A release is a beginning, not a finish line. We choose foundations that can be understood, maintained, and improved over time.
Substance creates the surface.
Refinement is not decoration. The best experience is the visible consequence of sound decisions underneath it.
Protect human agency.
Technology should expand a person’s ability to decide and act. It should not quietly take ownership of either.
Ambition requires discipline.
We pursue consequential ideas with clear priorities, honest constraints, and a willingness to leave lesser work undone.
Quality compounds.
Care in language, architecture, interaction, and operations accumulates. Small standards, held consistently, become durable advantage.
Question the inherited answer.
Familiar patterns are useful evidence, not permanent rules. We return to first principles when convention stops serving the problem.
Responsibility begins at design.
Privacy, safety, accessibility, and restraint are product choices. They belong in the first conversation, not the final checklist.
